the best of what i recorded. a sunday afternoon college radio show in san antonio. from 4 to 8pm cst i play to swimming pools, bbq pits, tool boxes and household cleaning supplies. the stuff around me and my mood has a bunch to do with my off the cuff playlist, setting some sound for a south Texas rock/country/blues afternoon.
the best of what i recorded. a sunday afternoon college radio show in san antonio. from 4 to 8pm cst i play to swimming pools, bbq pits, tool boxes and household cleaning supplies. the stuff around me and my mood has a bunch to do with my off the cuff playlist, setting some sound for a south Texas rock/country/blues afternoon i have been shot at by my neighbor in helotes because i was on my way over to kick his ass, and in a parking lot in austin after a social d / ramones show because we were trying to chase some guys down to kick their ass. then one time in wimberly, there was some gunplay, and nothing happened bad, except my eyeball filled up with blood. i stopped fighting before i got shot. i turned to candy bars, chips, jumping out of trees, climbing tall towers in fields, bass fishing, dove hunting, head trips, road trips, girls and anything else a stoner might like. i also got further into old country stars and local/ regional rock and roots groups. i don't remember when i started as a 3rd coast music network deejay. but i've broke most all the rules. i'm one of the many walking conflicts. the trouble with our kind is it's not so easy to find other people with the same emotional or environmental time-line. our problem is being mostly misunderstood, trying hard to give meaning to good natured madness. every sunday i run into the booth 3 to 15 minutes late, holding some mix disks, records, a fast food/c-store bag and a jug of water. whatever i was thinking as i ran up the stairs and unleashed my kit on the counter, is what i start my show with. i try to keep the show rolling along that mood, mixed with the way the song turns my mood and the song after that, the songs i play are affected by the mood i'm in and the mood my radio show puts me in over 4 hours. it mostly always rocks, because mostly i'm a fucker, a fighter or a wild horse rider.
